We just got done watching the funeral of President Gordon B. Hinckley. What an amazing man and what a tribute to him and his family! The talks reminded us of his wonderful sermons, his temple miracles, endless service, love for people, love for life, and- of course- his adorable sense of humor :) I feel truly honored and blessed to have been alive while Gordon B. Hinckley was the Prophet!
The funeral service concluded with President Monson speaking, sharing personal stories, making us smile as we remembered, as he put it, this "giant among men." As Matt and I talked afterwards, we were both reminded during President Monson's talk how truly amazing our next prophet is! We are so lucky to have another giant among men that will lead and guide us through this new chapter of church history!

Isn't it amazing how we all feel a personal connection with this dear sweet man. My eyes are still swollen from the funeral. I don't think I really let it in until the funeral...so it kinda killed me. But how wonderful, and how grateful we are to have grown up with such an incredible man. He will always be my spiritual giant and greatest example.
We really enjoyed watching the funeral services and were really touched. It was such a testiment to what an amazing man he was. How are you guys. I feel like I haven't seen you for a while :)
